Navy Bean Hummus

Ingredients
- 1 can (15 oz) navy beans, rinsed and drained
- 2 tablespoons tahini
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- Dash of paprika
- Small dash of cumin (about â…› teaspoon)
- ½ teaspoon white wine vinegar or rice vinegar
- 1–2 tablespoons water, as needed for blending
Instructions
1. Blend the ingredients
Add the following to a food processor or high-powered blender:
- Navy beans
- Tahini
- Lemon juice
- Garlic powder
- Salt
- Paprika
- Cumin
- White wine vinegar (or rice vinegar)
Blend until smooth.
2. Adjust the texture
Scrape down the sides of the blender or food processor as needed.
If the hummus is too thick, add 1–2 tablespoons of water, blending after each addition until it reaches your desired consistency.
3. Taste and adjust
Taste the hummus and adjust the lemon juice, salt, or seasonings if desired.
4. Serve
Serve immediately with:
- Fresh vegetables
- Pita bread or pita chips
- Crackers
- Sandwiches or wraps
- Grain bowls
