Mexican Chocolate Black Bean Smoothie

Ingredients
- 1 can black beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 cup vanilla soy milk
- 1–2 tablespoons maple syrup
OR
- ½ scoop chocolate protein powder
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- Pinch of cayenne pepper (about â…› teaspoon or less)
- ½ cup ice
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a blender.
- Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Taste and adjust sweetness as desired.
- Serve immediately.
Tips
- Chocolate protein powder helps mask the flavor of the beans.
- Dates can be used instead of maple syrup.
- Start with a tiny pinch of cayenne and add more if desired.
