Green Pea Fritters

Oct 30, 2026

Green Pea Fritters
Servings

About 10–12 fritters

Total Time

25 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen green peas, thawed but uncooked

  • 1 clove garlic

  • ¼ cup nutritional yeast

  • 1 handful fresh parsley

  • 1 small bunch fresh mint

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ cup water

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour

  • Plant-based butter, for cooking

For Serving

- Vegan tzatziki sauce

Instructions

1. Blend the pea mixture

Add the peas, garlic, nutritional yeast, parsley, mint, salt, and water to a blender or food processor.

Blend on low until the peas are broken down and everything is combined. The mixture can have a little texture.

2. Add the flour

Transfer the pea mixture to a mixing bowl.

Add the flour and stir until combined. The mixture should be thick enough to scoop onto a griddle.

3. Cook the fritters

Heat a griddle or skillet over medium heat and add a little plant-based butter.

Scoop portions of the mixture onto the griddle and gently flatten each one with the back of a spoon or spatula.

Cook for about 3–4 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through.

4. Serve

Serve warm with vegan tzatziki sauce for dipping.

Tips

  • Don't cook the peas before blending. Using them frozen and thawed helps preserve their fresh flavor.

  • If the mixture feels too wet, add another tablespoon or two of flour.

  • Fresh mint gives these fritters a refreshing flavor that pairs beautifully with the peas.

  • Make smaller fritters for little hands or appetizers.

  • Packed with plant-based protein and fiber
