3-Ingredient Crispy Tofu Nuggets

3-Ingredient Crispy Tofu Nuggets

Ingredients

  • 1 block super firm tofu (or firm tofu, pressed)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Garlic powder, to taste
  • Optional: wood-fired garlic salt
  • 2–3 tablespoons nutritional yeast

Instructions

  1. Prepare the tofu
    • If using firm tofu, press it first to remove excess moisture.
    • Cut tofu into bite-sized cubes.
  2. Season
    • Sprinkle tofu with salt and garlic powder.
    • Add nutritional yeast and toss until every piece is lightly coated.
  3. Air fry
    • Arrange tofu in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
    • Air fry at 450°F for 10 minutes.
    • Flip and cook another 5–10 minutes, checking after 5 minutes to prevent overcooking.
  4. Serve
    • Enjoy in wraps, sandwiches, salads, grain bowls, or as a snack.

Optional Bean Salad for Tofu Skeptics

If tofu isn't your favorite, try this simple bean salad:

Ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
  • 1 container mild mango salsa
  • Mixed greens (optional)
  • Pickled onions (optional)

Instructions

Mix everything together and serve as a salad or side dish. You can also add the air-fried tofu for extra protein.
