Vegan "Beef" Gravy
Servings: ~2 cups
Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon Better Than Bouillon No Beef Base
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2-3 tablespoons cornstarch + 3 tablespoons water (slurry for thickening)
Instructions
- Heat the broth: In a saucepan over medium heat, whisk together water, No Beef Base and seasonings. Bring to a simmer.
- Thicken it up: In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Slowly pour it into the simmering broth, whisking constantly.
- Simmer & Serve: Cook for 2-3 minutes until thickened to your desired consistency. Taste and adjust seasonings if needed.
- Enjoy! Drizzle over mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, or your vegan pot roast.
