 Tofu Nuggets
Makes: 4 servings • Total Time: 15-40 mins • FODMAP rating: low

Indulge in the irresistible delight of Tofu Nuggets, perfect for dipping into your favorite sauce. Whip up a double batch because these delectable bites are guaranteed to disappear quickly!

Ingredients
1 package firm tofu
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
2 tablespoons corn starch (or arrowroot powder)
2-3 tablespoons soy sauce
1/2-1 tablespoon maple syrup

Optional: other dried herbs or spices for flavor

Instructions
1.Drain and press your tofu, then tear it apart into bite size chunks into a large bowl (tear with your fingers, do not cut).

2.Mix the dry ingredients together in a separate small bowl. (garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, nutritional yeast, cornstarch). If you'd like to add more herbs or spices for flavor, add them here too.

3.Add the wet ingredients directly to the tofu. (soy sauce and maple syrup) Make sure that all parts of the tofu are covered.

4.Then add the dry ingredients to the bowl and shake or mix everything until it is evenly distributed.

5.Transfer the mixture to a greased pan (or use parchment paper). Spay the tofu nuggets with cooking spray. Then bake in the oven at 425 for 30 minutes (flipping halfway) OR cook in the air fryer at 400 for 10 minutes. (my favorite method because it's faster.)

6.Dip into your favorite sauce! I love dipping them into homemade vegan fry sauce by mixing half ketchup with half vegan mayo or homemade cashew cream.

*for lower FODMAP option, omit the garlic, and onion powder.
