Lentil "Hamburger" Bowl (WFPB)

Lentil Hamburgers Bowl with Watermelon on the side

 Lentil "Hamburger" Bowl
Serves 4
Total time: 45 minutes

Ingredients
Lentil "Hamburger"
1 cup dried lentils
2 cups water (or vegetable broth)
1/4 cup diced red onion
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 teaspoon Worchestire sauce (vegan if possible)

Topping Ideas
2 romaine hearts
2 cup cooked rice
1/2 cup sliced red onion
2-3 tomatoes, chopped
1/2 cup pickles, chopped
1-2 avocado
1/2 cup sauerkraut
vegan shredded cheese (optional)
mustard 
ketchup

Instructions
1. Cooked lentils and rice according to package instructions. For lentils rinse the lentils and them to 2 cups of water or broth. Bring to a boil. Cover and reduce the heat to low and allow to simmer for 35-40 minutes. Keep an eye on the lentils while they are cooking to see if they need more water to finish cooking. 
2. Place the lentils into a skillet over medium heat and stir in 1/4 cup diced red onion, ketchup, Worchestire sauce, garlic powder and onion powder stir until warmed up. 
3. Prep bowls by addiing romaine lettuce to each bowl. top with rice and desired toppings. Drizzle with mustard and ketchup. Enjoy!
