Broiled Bananas

Broiled Bananas

Broiled Bananas
Serves 4 • Total Time: 10 minutes • FODMAP rating: medium

Don’t let overripe bananas go to waste with this recipe.Try topping your bananas with: chocolate chips, shredded unsweetened coconut, nuts, and/or fresh berries. Bananas are naturally sweet and are a versatile plant-based staple in a lot of meals but tastes amazing on its own.

Ingredients
2 ripe bananas
1 teaspoon of liquid sweetener of choice
½ teaspoon of cinnamon
½ teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder

Optional Toppings
chocolate chips
shredded unsweetened coconut
nuts or seeds
fresh berries

Instructions
1.Set the oven to broil (low broil if available).
2.Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
3.Cut ends off of bananas and slice in half.
4.Evenly spread liquid sweetener on top of each bananas and then sprinkle with cinnamon or cocoa powder.
5.Broil for 6-7 minutes or until toppings are melted and bubbling.
6. Remove from the oven and add additional desired toppings and serve immediately.
